WaterproofingProject overview
For this project, a trench was carefully dug by hand along the base of the wall to expose the foundation and reach the affected area below ground level. Hand excavation was used to work safely and precisely close to the structure, keeping the surrounding ground and finishes intact. Once the wall base was fully exposed, it was cleaned and prepared ready for waterproofing.
The foundation was then treated with a bituminous waterproofing coating and fitted with a dimpled drainage membrane, creating a protective barrier against damp and water ingress. Special attention was given to full coverage across the wall base and secure fixing of the membrane before the trench was backfilled and the ground reinstated, leaving the area tidy and the foundation properly protected for the long term.
