FlooringProject overview
For this project, the old and worn flooring throughout an apartment was fully replaced with quality engineered wood flooring. The work started by lifting the existing floor and preparing the subfloor, making sure the base was clean, level and ready. A new insulating underlay and moisture membrane were then laid across each room to improve warmth, comfort and sound insulation before the boards went down.
The engineered oak boards were carefully installed room by room, including the hallway and staircase, with attention to the layout, expansion gaps, door thresholds and neat edges against the skirting. The finished flooring gives the whole apartment a warmer, brighter and more modern feel, with a consistent, seamless look that flows from room to room and a hard-wearing surface built for everyday use.
